Subway spent millions on athlete sponsorships, which left considerably less for production.

Sometimes we couldn’t get the athlete.

Or we got them for 10 minutes. On a green screen, with text-to-speak VO.

When we did get an athlete for an extended period, we made sure to make thoughtful serious work.

 

But for the launch of Tony Hawk’s signature sub, the stars aligned and we got to full send it.
We offered the internet a simple challenge. Outskate Tony to win his new sub. Fortunately, for the internet, the skating was done in Tony Hawk Pro Skater.

Along with clout, Tony’s signature sub, and the fulfillment of childhood dreams come true anyone who outskated Tony also go a custom deck signed by GOAT himself.
